About the Event

The program lineup this year is broad and has something for everyone. We are pleased to have two international speakers this year. Dr. Peter Theil from Aarhus University in Denmark and Dr. Chantel Farmer from Sherbrooke Research Center in Quebec, Canada will be speaking on transitional sow nutrition and nutrition impacts on mammary development in sows. We will have presentations on keeping baby pigs alive and one on the nutritional effects on intestinal barrier function in young pigs. We have papers on the effect of fat sources, including high oleic soy oil, on meat and fat quality in the pork carcass. We will have topics on feed safety, viral mitigation, and feed biosecurity, as well as a report on a novel yeast fermentation product and its effect on sow lactation performance. This conference is directed toward the feed industry and consulting nutritionists, swine veterinarians, sales people and producers interested in swine nutrition and feeding concepts.
